NOPI Restaurant Cookbook promo

This was one of those rare shoots where you work hard but you also get to eat incredible food. I was asked to shoot five different videos at the NOPI restaurant just off Regent Street in the West End of London. I was there for 12 hours – from 6am until 6pm so that I could get enough material to do a ‘day in the life of NOPI’ video, which my clients, Penguin Random House, could show to it’s international sales team to give them and idea of the philosophy and concept of NOPI. Being there that long though meant I got to have breakfast and lunch on site which was very easy on the palate I must say. Unfortunately they kicked me out just as I was making myself comfortable for dinner.

In case you think I didn’t shoot too much material in 12 hours, we did actually shoot four other videos, two recipe demonstrations and two specific web-content videos for vloggers to use. This was the first job I’ve shot with the excellent Harry Woolacott assisting who came along with his Canon 5D as second camera. I used my Canon 7D, plus a GoPro 4 Black edition and Canon 550D for the timelapse footage.
