Canon Beauty and Print Experience

Thanks to Canon again who gave me the opportunity to shoot the comings and goings at its CPS Beauty and Print experience. Some of the footage was shot with a Canon c300 Mk2 which they leant me – and while the batteries were re-charging – I reverted to my own C100 Mk2. The C300 took a bit of getting used to but I found myself loving the face recognition focussing with any lens I stuck on the end of it, and it was also great to shoot everything in ProRes422 rather than mp4.

It was also my first run out with my edelkrone wing which is a really smooth slider that sits neatly on top of my manfrotto tripod. It was an interesting shoot in the sense that the client wanted a lot covered but only gave me 90 seconds of finished edit in which to do it. On top of that they wanted as much of the footage as possible shot in slow motion – so now effectively I had to ‘tell the story’ in just 45 seconds. (Does that make sense? It does in my head.) I think it worked quite well in the end. Have a look and see what you think.
